About Our Program

"We already knew what a wonderful teacher Mrs.Breaux was from our experience with her teaching our daughter 4th grade at Gold Rush Charter school. She is now going into highschool and still cherishes her time and relationship with "The best teacher ever!" When we heard that Lisa Breaux had created Elevation Learning Center, we were so excited to check it out for our son. From the moment we joined the Elevation school community, we felt welcomed, supported, and confident that our child was receiving an exceptional education. Mrs. Breaux leads a special group of teachers that are caring, dedicated, and genuinely invested in their students' success. Her passion and energy for teaching, commitment to each student, and ability to create a positive learning environment are truly remarkable. ELC has something that is hard to find in education today. It feels like an old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse in the best possible way—a close-knit community where every child is known, valued, and supported. At the same time, the academic expectations are high, and students are challenged to reach their full potential. It is a unique balance of personal connection and academic excellence. We are going on our fourth year with ELC and couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend Elevation Learning Center to any family looking for a supportive, enriching, and academically strong educational environment. If you're exploring school options, ELC is absolutely worth a visit. The Hauff Family

"The level of education that our children receive at Elevation Learning Center is excellent. Mrs. Breaux truly pours her heart and soul into educating at this incredible school she created. Throughout these last 3 years of my children attending, I have seen my sons learning about subjects and reading books that I was not exposed to in any of my years at public school. I hear my 2nd grader and kindergartener randomly mention the country and capitals of Scandinavia, historical figures in Roman times, and excitedly telling me what things are in Latin. We are so happy and look forward to continuing their growth in education at this school." 2nd grade parent C. Carter

"We love Elevation Learning Center and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful school program. Our daughter has grown to love school and learning since starting at ELC. The teachers are dedicated to making sure students are learning in a happy and caring environment. They provide high academic expectations, a well rounded education, deep connections to great literature, a fun environment, hands on instruction, and a smile each day. We are so glad we chose ELC to partner with for our daughter's education." ~ Parents of an ELC student [6th grade]

Choosing Elevation Learning Center was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my daughter. She has grown so much academically and socially while still maintaining her confidence and love for learning. The teachers create an environment where students are challenged thoughtfully and genuinely supported academically, without losing sight of each child’s individual needs. She absolutely loves her school, and so do I. 1st grade parent M. Burke

"My daughter is a young kindergartener and has grown so much academically. She has been doing first grade work! The small class size gives the students individualized attention so they are able to soar academically. She has grown so much in her math, reading and handwriting skills- she is even learning cursive. We are so thankful for this school and the opportunities the children have there." K. Hart

What parents are saying about ELC...

“The student-to-teacher ratio is off the charts, ensuring each child gets direct help exactly where they need it. ELC is the type of school where your children start their day with the Pledge of Allegiance and then come home speaking Latin.” C. Waters 5th & 6th grade students

HOW THIS WORKS

  • Most of our parents register their student(s) as "homeschooled" with the state online in the fall. Some register with a charter school independent study program.
  • Elevation staff provides instruction to students Monday-Thursday from 8:30am until 3:00pm. Fridays are a homeschool day.
  • Parents pay an annual fee for instruction, which may be split into monthly payments (See more: ADMISSIONS).
  • In addition to instructional fees, families pay for all the necessary books and supplies for classes.

Students work under the guidance of a credentialed teacher to study a variety of subjects. They follow the course and curriculum choices offered by ELC.

Older students are expected to be able to self-govern and work a majority of their time independently, with less direct instruction from teachers.
